Suppression
Pinning the enemy with volume of fire.
Suppression is keeping enough fire on a position that the enemy cannot move or shoot back effectively, even if you are not scoring kills. The Light Machine Gun is the Support career's suppression tool. Suppress from the front, flank from the side, that is the whole play.
