Suppression and staying power.
Light machine guns bring big magazines and sustained fire, levelling the Support career. They pressure a position and hold a lane where other guns run dry. Strong against grouped targets, and useful against armour. A notable example is the PKM. Part of the Support toolkit alongside the FOB.
