WARDOGS Careers and Roles: Which One Should You Main?
Assault, Medic, Recon, Support, Driver or Pilot? Here is what each WARDOGS role does and how to build a squad that wins.
WARDOGS does not lock you into a class, you build your role from the gear you carry, and that gear levels the matching XP track. Still, most players settle into a main. Here is what each one brings to a squad.
Assault
The front-line rifle. Assault holds ground in and around the Zone and wins the straight fights. If you are new, start here, it teaches the maps and the pace.
Medic
SMGs plus medical tools. A good medic keeps the squad in the Zone when it should have wiped. Underrated, and it levels fast because there is always someone to patch.
Recon
Marksman and sniper work. Recon spots, picks off key targets, and watches the flanks. High skill ceiling, and the scopes feed the track.
Support
LMGs, shotguns, launchers, and the build tools, Hammers and FOBs. Support lays down fire and builds the fortifications that hold a Zone. If you like construction and denial, this is your track.
Driver and Pilot
The logistics and firepower backbone. Drivers move the squad and bring armour, Pilots run transport and gunship helicopters. Both are force multipliers when the rest of the squad plays around them.
Building a squad that wins
A balanced fireteam beats six of the same role every time. A rough template:
- Two Assault to hold and push.
- One Medic to keep them up.
- One Support for fire and fortifications.
- One Recon watching the flank.
- One Driver or Pilot to move everyone and bring the heavy kit.
You will not build that with random teammates. Come find a real squad.
