YOUR ORG

What your org gets

Your own org page

Your server, your members grouped by role, your ops and who is online, on ae-gaming.com.

Team Builder

Build an op, put people in squads, and SENTINEL makes the channels and roles in your Discord.

AE COMMS

Radio nets for your org with push to talk in game, and coalition nets shared with other orgs.

SHEPHERD look-ups

AE's anti-cheat read on any player, for the people who run your org.

Report to AE

Send AE a player from a look-up. An officer picks it up and you hear the outcome.

Watched for you

SENTINEL keeps an eye on your linked servers and tells you when something needs fixing.

SHEPHERD

Ex umbra in lucem

AE's own anti-cheat system, in the hands of the people who run your org.

Look up any player and get a read-only case file: a score from 0 to 100, a band from Clean to Act, every ban on them across AE and the partner network with the reason given, and how often they have been reported on AE and how those reports ended.

0 to 100Score on every player
4Bands, Clean to Act
10Look-ups an hour each
1Network: AE and every partner

A reading for your decisions on your own servers, never a verdict. Every look-up is logged.

Every step, one at a time

About fifteen minutes of your time, then AE confirms your server, usually within a day. Each step says what to do, what you will see, and what to do if you do not see it.

  1. Add SENTINEL to your Discord

Press the button. Discord asks which server: pick your org's server and press Authorize.

You need to own the server, or have Manage Server in it. Keep every permission ticked: SENTINEL uses them to set up your radio and op channels.

    Add SENTINEL to your Discord
    You will see

SENTINEL in your member list, and a message from it within a minute. Your org page is ready within about ten minutes.

    It did not happen

No message? Your Discord privacy settings may block messages from bots. Nothing is wrong: carry on with step 2.

The server was not in the list? You are not the owner or a Manage Server admin there. Ask whoever is.

  2. Put one of your members in AE Gaming

Sign-in to your org page and to AE COMMS works once at least one person from your server is also in the AE Gaming Discord. It can be you.

    Join AE Gaming
    You will see

Nothing changes straight away. SENTINEL notices within five minutes and opens sign-in for your members.

    It did not happen

Still cannot sign in after ten minutes? Check the person who joined AE Gaming is the same Discord account that is in your server.

  3. Open your org page

Go to ae-gaming.com/org and press Sign in with Discord. Use the Discord account you use in your own server.

Everyone in your server with at least one role can open the page. The tools that change things (Team Builder, the AE COMMS editor, WARDOGS servers) are for the owner and anyone with an Administrator or Manage Server role.

    You will see

Your server's icon and name, how many are online, and tabs along the top: Overview, Members, Ops, AE COMMS and WARDOGS servers.

    It did not happen

"You are not in their server": you signed in with a different Discord account. Sign out of Discord in your browser and try again.

"No role": give yourself any role in your server, wait five minutes, try again.

No WARDOGS servers tab: you are not the owner or an Administrator or Manage Server admin.

  4. Add your WARDOGS server

Open the WARDOGS servers tab. Fill in three things and press Add server:

    • Server name: exactly as it shows in the server browser.
    • Join code: the code players use to find your server. Your host's panel shows it.
    • Host: who runs the server for you. Pick "Somewhere else" if it is not listed.
    You will see

A box with three lines of config, and a Copy the lines button. These lines are shown once.

    It did not happen

Lost the lines? Press Make new lines under the server. The old lines stop working the moment you do.

  5. Paste the three lines into your server's config

    1. Open your host's control panel and find the file manager or config files.
    2. Open Configs/Server.ini.
    3. Find the line [/Script/WDRCON.WDRCONSettings]. If it is not there, add it on a line of its own at the bottom.
    4. Paste the three lines straight under it.
    5. Delete any other line that starts with EventFeedServerName. There must be only one.
    6. Save the file.

It looks like this. Yours has your own server name and a long token instead of the examples:

    [/Script/WDRCON.WDRCONSettings]
    bEventFeedEnabled=true
    +EventFeedEndpoints=(Url="https://ae-gaming.com/wd/netfeed",Token="EXAMPLE-TOKEN")
    EventFeedServerName="p-yourorg-1"
    You will see

Nothing yet. The game reads this file only when the server starts, which is the next step.

    It did not happen

Your panel has no file manager? Ask your host to add the three lines to Configs/Server.ini under [/Script/WDRCON.WDRCONSettings] for you. Send them the lines exactly as given.

  6. Restart the server

A full restart from your host's panel: stop, then start. A map change is not enough.

    You will see

On your org page the server moves from Waiting to With AE after its first match. That is the proof the server is yours.

    It did not happen

Still Waiting after a full match? The lines are in the wrong file, under the wrong heading, or the server was not restarted. If SENTINEL messages you that the server name is wrong, the EventFeedServerName line does not match: fix it to exactly what your lines say, and restart.

  7. AE confirms your server

Nothing for you to do. An AE officer checks the server and confirms it, usually within a day.

    You will see

A message from SENTINEL saying your server is confirmed, and Confirmed next to it on your org page.

  8. Link RCON

Under the confirmed server press Link RCON and fill in the three RCON details from your host's panel: address, port and password. Press Link RCON.

We only ever read through it: who is on, ping, the map and your ban list, once a minute. Nothing is ever written to your server.

    You will see

"RCON linked" in green under the server, with how many are on right now.

    It did not happen

"Nothing answered": check the address and port, and that the server is up.

"The server turned the password down": copy the password again from your panel.

If your RCON uses an allow list (AllowedHosts in Configs/Server.ini), add our address as one more line under the others: .AllowedHosts=198.244.232.107, then restart.

  9. Look a player up in SHEPHERD

On the WARDOGS servers tab, paste a player's SteamID64 into Look up a player and press Look up. A SteamID64 is 17 digits and starts with 7656119; it is the long number in their Steam profile address.

Press Open the case file for the full read. If AE should know about the player, press Report to AE and say what happened.

    You will see

The player's SHEPHERD score and band, their bans across the network, how often they have been reported on AE, and a button to the full case file.

    It did not happen

The Look up box is greyed out: look-ups open once a confirmed server's RCON answers. Go back to step 8.

  10. If anything breaks, we tell you

SENTINEL watches your linked servers. If one needs fixing on your side, the owner gets one message saying what and how. When it is fixed, a short message says so. Nothing optional is ever chased.

    You will see

Usually nothing at all. That means it is working.

Questions people ask

Does it cost anything?

No.

Can SENTINEL ban or kick people in my Discord?

No. It has no ban, kick or server-admin power. It posts callouts and sets up comms and op channels and roles, nothing else.

Does AE change anything on my game server?

No. The three lines make your server send its match feed to us, and RCON is read only. Nothing is ever written to your server from here: no bans, no kicks, no config, no messages.

Who sees my server's data?

It is stored apart from AE's and tagged as yours. It feeds SHEPHERD for you and for AE, and never AE's own figures. See our Privacy Policy.

Can I stop?

Any time. Remove RCON under the server, delete the three lines from your config, or remove SENTINEL from your Discord. What was already sent stays on file, tagged as yours.

Can I see why SHEPHERD gave a player that read?

Yes. On any player you look up, the case file shows the people who run your org the read, the findings behind it and the evidence on file. It is for them alone: we never publish how SHEPHERD works anywhere public (Terms, section 10).
